Abortion Care

Available (in-clinic) and by medication pill. Know your rights regarding abortion in Arizona.

Annual Reproductive Health Exam

Routine preventive care supports your health and well-being, allowing you to detect and address potential issues early on.

Birth Control Consultation

Birth control is a safe and easy way to prevent pregnancy. Some types of birth control can also help treat certain health problems or provide other health benefits — like making periods lighter and less painful.

Sedation Services

Patients the option to have procedures, such as IUD insertions and removals, biopsies, vasectomies or even pelvic exams, performed under light or moderate sedation, at their request.

Doula Services

We offer free doula services to all patients visiting Planned Parenthood's Arizona health centers, upon patient request, for a number of different services.

Vasectomy

Vasectomy works by blocking the tubes (vas deferens) that carry sperm from the testicles. This prevents sperm from entering the semen.

Emergency Contraception ("the morning-after pill")

Effective up to 5 days after unprotected sex, but most effective if taken as soon as possible.

Including Breast and Cervical Cancer Screenings.

Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI) Testing, Treatment and Vaccines

STIs are also referred to as STDs. The most common STIs include Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Syphilis and HPV.

Colposcopy and LEEP

Colposcopy is usually done after an abnormal Pap test or positive HPV test. A LEEP is a treatment for abnormal cells on the cervix.

HPV Vaccine

Human papillomavirus (HPV) is the most common Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) in the United States. The vaccine protects against cancers caused by HPV infections.

Gender Affirming Hormone Therapy

Hormone Therapy (HT) is one way for transgender people to feel and look more like the gender with which they identify. Gender affirming hormone therapy consists of either feminizing (estrogen) or masculinizing (testosterone) hormones. Many transgender people take hormone therapy to help their bodies and appearance align with their gender identity.

HIV Testing and Counseling

PrEP is available through a telehealth visit. However, nPEP treatment, for post-HIV exposure requires a health center visit. If you are concerned that you may be been exposed to HIV in the last 48-72 hours, we encourage you to walk in to any of our health centers to discuss your concerns.

IUDs and Subdermal Implants

Intrauterine devices (IUDs) and Implants are Long Acting Reversible Contraception (LARCs). They are the most effective, low maintenance forms of Birth Control. Insertion and removal of IUDs requires an office visit.

Patient Navigation Services

Patient Navigators can help patients find abortion care and funding, as well as assist with transportation, lodging, and childcare services in and outside of Arizona.

PEP

Post-exposure prophylaxis means taking medicine to prevent HIV after a possible exposure. PEP should be used only in emergency situations and must be started within 72 hours after a recent possible exposure to HIV. If you are exposed to HIV, you can walk in to any PPAZ Health Center for treatment.

PrEP

Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) is either a daily pill or every 2-month injection that can help prevent HIV.

Birth Control

Birth control is how you prevent pregnancy. There are lots of different birth control options out there.

We offer most all birth control methods and we're here to help you figure out what option works best for you.

Sexually Transmitted Infections

STIs are infections that are spread from one person to another, usually during vaginal, anal, and oral sex. They’re really common, and lots of people who have them don’t have any symptoms. But the good news is that getting tested is no big deal, and most STIs are easy to treat.

Emergency Contraception

Emergency contraception is birth control you can use to prevent pregnancy up to five days (120 hours) after unprotected sex. It’s safe and effective. There are two types of emergency contraception: morning-after pills, and the copper IUD.
